Forever a Jets Fan

Russell Francis, a passionate Jets fan from Brooklyn, died last Saturday of lung cancer. Mr. Francis, 45, was buried Friday with a new green-and-white uniform bearing the number 15, which Tim Tebow, the newest star addition to the Jets’ roster, will be donning next season.

According to a report on The Local blog for Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, many of the 100 mourners who gathered to honor Mr. Francis at the Church of the Open Door on Gold Street followed his last request that they also wear Jets gear.
