A Blizzard Transportation Guide

1:50 a.m. | Updated The snow might have turned the region into a collection of “borderless white dreamscapes,” but many will need to cross those borders to get home from holiday travel and back to the office on Monday. Here’s your guide:

Airports: Kennedy International Airport in New York and Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey suspended all flights Sunday evening, according to Sara Beth Joren, a spokeswoman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Few flights were operating out of La Guardia Airport in New York.

Amtrak: All service between New York and Boston is canceled. “Limited service is anticipated to resume Monday morning,” according to Amtrak. Latest info »

Long Island Railroad: Current: All service has been suspended systemwide, in both directions, “until further notice,” according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Monday commute: L.I.R.R. will operate on a holiday schedule. Latest info »

Metro-North Railroad: Current: Trains are running “on or close to schedule.” Monday commute: Metro-North will operate on a Sunday schedule. Latest info »

New Jersey Transit: Current: All bus service has been suspended, as has Newark Light Rail. Hudson-Bergen Line Light Rail has been suspended in some stretches, with significant delays in others. Long-Distance Buses: Bolt Bus: All Monday buses are canceled. The company will issue decisions about Tuesday service by 2 p.m. Monday. DC2NY: All Monday service canceled — though some might be restored after 11 a.m. that day. Extra service has been added on Tuesday. Greyhound: List of service cancellations.
