I often walk on the Long Beach boardwalk. This week two odd things occurred.
Once there were three mirrors above three sinks in the ladies’ room. No more. Nevertheless, after washing my hands, from habit I looked up where the mirror once was and saw on the blank wall “YOU LOOK FINE,” written where the mirror should have been.
I have become accustomed to seeing dogs in little strollers on the boardwalk. As I was passing one, I saw an A.S.P.C.A. blanket. I peeked into the stroller and was surprised to see a little hand sticking out of the cover instead of a furry paw.
