The Caesar Rodney Institute, Delaware’s preeminent non-partisan economic think tank, has announced a change of direction with the announcement of Samuel Friedman as the new Communications Coordinator for the Institute.
Mr. Friedman graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2011, with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. While there, he worked for the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, a nationally recognized poll that has been featured in the Washington Post, CNN, Fox News, and the New York Times, among other places. Prior to working for the Caesar Rodney Institute, he worked at Topaz Partners, a boutique PR agency in Boston that served clients in online marketing, software, and computer security markets.
The hiring of Mr. Friedman indicates the organization is seeking to move towards providing new digital content and reorganizing how they reach out to residents concerned about the issues impacting their state. The Institute is now seeking to integrate video reporting as part of its social media channels to boost YouTube and e-mail subscribers and awareness of issues affecting the state. The objective of the reporting to is to report on issues of concern to the Delaware community, and put more emphasis on personal participation within the system.
