What Real Estate Sweeteners Have You Encountered?

This week the Appraisal visits Gary Parker, an administrator at New York University who is offering a free car as an enticement to purchase his one-bedroom co-op in Kensington, Brooklyn. The car is not quite fresh from the dealer’s showroom, though: it’s a 2002 Hyundai Elantra with 79,000 miles on it.

Which leads us to this question: Amid all the promises of covered closing costs, a month’s free rent or even a brand new Audi if you spend $2 million on an apartment, what are the most interesting, unusual or oddly unimpressive real estate sweeteners you’ve run across? Please share, and thanks.
